Our class is designed to give you the basics for preparing great barbeque. The material includes:

How to choose the meats.
Preparation of the different meat categories.
Making your own signature rubs and sauces.
The use of herbs and spices.
Different types of cookers/smokers.
The many tools and accessories used in cooking.

Class Details

Classes run from 8:00 AM to about 5:00 PM

Lunch will be furnished on Saturday.

Students will be doing some meat preparing, but all Meats and Spices are furnished. After making your rub, it will be applied to the meat and cooked before you leave.

Students need to bring, paper towels, and a cooler.

$225 per person.

Prepaid enrollment requested.
Entries close the Thursday before class, to allow the purchase of meats, so prepaying guarantees a spot in the class.

If you are coming in on I-70 you exit on to N.B. I-435 and take the E.B. Exit 15A to Leavenworth Road, to 7844 Leavenworth Road. This is a Fraternal Order of Police Lodge #4, and the building is on the north side of the street.

If you are coming in from I-635 you take the W.B. I-70 exit to I-435 N.B. and proceed to exit 15A to E.B. Leavenworth Road continuing to 7844 Leavenworth Road 3 miles east to a Fraternal Order of Police Lodge #4, and the building is on the north side of the street.

If you come in from I-435 take the east bound Leavenworth Road exit-15A. Go east to 7844 Leavenworth Road.

If you come in from I-29 from the north take the I-435 exit towards Topeka and continue to exit 15A E.B. Leavenworth Road, 3 miles to class site.
